At Smyrna Alliance, we love soccer and we want everyone to try it! We are focused on the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the same emphasis on travel or high level competition.. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, play with a sense of team and community, learn the sport, develop life skills including a life long love of the game and be active in a safe, fun environment.
This is more than a game. We are teaching life lessons through sport.
Director of Coaching
Joey Syfert
Joey Syfert is the Director of Coaching (DOC) for Smyrna Alliance. Joey is also the Academy Director of our travel program, Georgia Alliance. He is a US Soccer Federation “C” License coach who has been coaching soccer for 15 years in Georgia and is currently the Georgia Soccer Boys Coach of the Year.
Joey received a Bachelor's Degree from Georgia State University while playing for the NCAA Division 1 program. Prior to that, he played his club soccer in Atlanta, where he was a member of the Olympic Development Program, and Captained McEachern High School in Powder Springs.
